Jaime Ponseti: "New Orleans Culturalist"

I am a native New Orleanian with a passion for the history and culture of South Louisiana. My paternal roots reflect the lesser-known story of the international urban melting pot of immigration (particularly European) that was 19th-century New Orleans. My maternal genealogy can be traced back to Acadian and Canary Islander communities that settled along Bayou Lafourche. My genealogy is literally the story of Louisiana

I love that story and I love to tell it. I like to say that “you can’t preserve your culture with regulations or laws....the only way to preserve your culture is to live it every day. In New Orleans, we sustain and advance our fun and unique culture by living it every day! Join us!
